Concrete House

Concrete House (Ban Tuek) is one of Thailand’s first independent, non-profit, artist-run spaces, active from 1993 to 2019 in Nonthaburi province. Established in collaboration with the EMPOWER Foundation, a non-profit advocating for the rights and opportunities of sex workers, Concrete House is recognized as Thailand’s first performance art venue. The space played a groundbreaking role in shaping performance art in Southeast Asia, hosting free art events, social activities, and artist residencies to foster cultural exchange and critical dialogue.

XV International AIDS Conference

การประชุมเอดส์โลกครั้งที่ 15 (XV International AIDS Conference) จัดขึ้นที่ อิมแพค เมืองทองธานี ประเทศไทย ภายใต้แนวคิด “Access for All” งานนี้ได้รวบรวมผู้คนจากทั่วโลก ทั้งนักวิชาการ ผู้ติดเชื้อ องค์กรพัฒนาเอกชน และศิลปิน เพื่อร่วมกันหาทางออกให้กับปัญหา HIV/AIDS ในมิติที่หลากหลาย ไม่เพียงแค่เรื่องการเข้าถึงยาและสิทธิผู้ป่วยเท่านั้น แต่ยังเปิดพื้นที่ให้ศิลปวัฒนธรรมได้สื่อสารความเจ็บปวด ความหวัง และการมีอยู่ของผู้คนในสังคม ผ่านการแสดงนิทรรศการ การร่ายรำ และผลงานศิลปะจากศิลปินนานาชาติ โดยมุ่งเน้นการลดอคติ สร้างความเข้าใจ และยืนยันว่าผู้ติดเชื้อก็สมควรได้รับชีวิตที่เท่าเทียมและมีคุณค่าไม่ต่างจากใคร
