Naam Chewit Project
The Naam Chewit Project, initiated in 1990 in collaboration with the EMPOWER Foundation at Concrete House in Nonthaburi, is rooted in the belief that life is about living—with understanding, compassion, and solidarity. The project focuses on living together with people living with HIV, not out of fear or pity, but with respect for their rights, dignity, and humanity. It seeks to heal the wounds caused by stigma and misinformation, protect the rights of those affected, and honor the lives of those lost. Naam Chewit stands as a reminder that while medical science continues to search for a cure, love, care, and collective hope are powerful forces we already have—to live, to resist prejudice, and to build a society where no one is left behind.
